Kathmandu to Budhanilkantha:
About 8 kilometers north of
Kathmandu, at the base of Shivapuri hill is a remarkable
colossal statue of Lord Vishnu, reclining on a bed of
snakes.

This is one of the masterpieces of stone
statue in the middle of a small pond and seems to float
in water.
Kathmandu to Godawari:
It is situated six miles of
Patan. It is a good picnic spot amidst thick wooded
jungle. Here is fish hatchery, marble mine, St. Xavier's
school, and agricultural farm. There is also Royal
Botanical garden. it is one of the holiest places in
Nepal and once every twelve years a great number of
pilgrims come from all parts of Nepal to have a holy
bath in the foot of the hill.
Kathmandu to Bajra Barahi
Temple:
The temple of Barahi
(incarnation of Vishnu in the form of a boar) is
situated in wooden place. It is about 10 kilometers
south of Patan city and is linked by road. One can enjoy
charm of rural life and natural landscapes by driving up
to Tika Bhairab. There are many old but interesting
villages are Sonaguthi, Chapagaon on the way.
Kathmandu to Kodari:
The
114 kilometers highway linking Kathmandu with Kodari on
the Chinese border follows the ancient's trade route to
Lhasa. Known as the Arniko Highway, this spectacular
road leads east past Bhaktapur, Banapa, Dhulikhel, and
Dolalghat and then turns north following the course of
the Sun Koshi and Bhote Koshi rivers. Picturesque
villages and tranquil terraced fields against a backdrop
of green hills are the scenic rewards on the trail. The
trip takes four days up and down. Overnight at Dhulikhel
or Barahbise (88 kilometers from Kathmandu) and Tatopani
(3 kilometers before Kodari) where there are hot springs
are an added attraction.
