Everest Base Camp with a crossing of Cho La:
       An ultimate challenge to he ambitious trekkers, this trek takes to you to the foot of Mt. Everest traversing challenging high Cho La Pass at an elevation of 5420m. Also included is the opportunity to trek to the summit of both Gokyo RI [5240m] and Kala Pattar [5554m] for magnificent view of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Cho Oyo etc. A visit to Everest Base Camp will also allow you to have a closer look at the spectacular Khumbu Icefall.
       This Trek requires you to be moderately fit but not necessarily an experienced trekker. Considering the snow condition over Cho La pass the trek may not be advisable during winter [January & February] and
monsoon period [July & August].

Kongma La – Cho – La – Renjo – La high passes Treks:
       Spectacular trek will more than satisfy the ambitious trekker’s intent on crossing high passes without the commitment to any technical climbing. The trek offers an enduring experience of natural beauty, geological magnificence and profound cross-cultural discovery. The Sherpa residents of Khumbu, the great valley below Mount Everest, believe that all things - mountains, plants and animals are sacred. We start this trek from Lukla after 35-minute mountain flight. Trekking through Namche, Tengbuche and Finally to Chhukung where we spend a night before crossing Kongma la. Heading towards Everest we cross the Kongma La to the Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar. After identifying the classic climbing routes to the summit of Everest we complete a spectacular traverse over the Cho La to the alpine pastures and lakes of Gokyo. From Gokyo Ri we gain further outstanding views of Everest before heading over the Renjo La to the Thame. After Thame we will trek to Lukla via Namche and take our flight back to Kathmandu.

Everest Classic Treks:
      Starting with a 6 hour (188km/118miles) drive to Jiri (2,100m/6,888ft) this trek follows the traditional route taken by the early Everest expeditions and still serves as main artery to the road less Sagarmatha (Everest) region. Known as the Solu-Khumbu it is the home of the Sherpas. This relatively tiny society of 8,000 people is the best known and most admired of all Nepal's ethnic groups. According to their oral history Sherpas migrated to high valleys south of Mt. Everest from eastern Tibet about 450 years ago, hence the name Shar-pa, "peoples of the east." Many families along this route have converted their homes into trekkers' lodges catering to foreign hikers. Although a popular trekking route the Everest area is visited by only some 8,000 visitors each year - a fraction of the number that visits the Annapurna region. Trekking through the Sherpa villages we share many of their hearths and enjoy their generous hospitality. Trekking in from Jiri has the advantage of helping you to acclimatize en route. This trek is about 190km/120miles long and the total altitude gained on the innumerable uphill portions totals 9000m - much higher even than Mt. Everest! After Namche we follow the main trail to base camp (as per the 14-day Close Encounter with Everest itinerary) with all its attraction. A legendary trek to a legendary destination.

Moderate to strenuous trekking and lodging from 2,100m (6,888ft) to 4,940m (16,200ft) with optional day hikes up to 5,550m (18,200ft). Accommodation in comfortable lodges runs by Sherpa families. The trek starts with a drive from Kathmandu and includes all meals, services of experienced local guide and porters to carry luggage. Clients carry a day-pack only and walk at their own pace.
